This workshop is a practical exercise about mechanical behavior of stones and composed elements.

Participants will create beam models to be tested in bending until failure and arch models to describe the equilibrium and the relationship between forms and forces.

Beyond the behavior of material, the participant should have an opportunity to think about effects of joints, prestress failure modes, based on the loading test results and the discussion.
