Our Vision
Leveraging the inherent qualities of natural stones, this symposium aims to foster a dialogue on advancing architectural and engineering solutions that harmonize the past with the future. Through the lens of sustainability, it envision a new era of construction that revitalizes the use of stone, contributing to both environmental stewardship and the prosperity of rural regions rich in this natural resource.
A Collaborative Platform
Endorsed by Re-UNITA for Research and Innovation and connected with the industry through the Cluster Portugal Mineral Resources, the symposium is a confluence of academia, industry, and local governance. Supported by research initiatives from C-MADE on sustainable materials and championed by the Pinhel Municipality for local development, the main goal is to initiate a comprehensive discourse among stakeholders.
What to Expect
Attendees will be immersed in a program rich with expert presentations on cutting-edge design and construction techniques using stones. The symposium goes beyond traditional lectures, offering interactive workshops that encourage the active participation of students, professionals, and researchers. These collaborative sessions are designed to share experiences, foster innovation, and contribute to the development of new construction methodologies with stone.
